The Dimarzio UtoPIA Neck DP287FSGBK guitar pickup easily fits into modern HSH configurations.
Unlike some over-aggressive pickups, this one rounds off the edges without muffling detail. It's based on the Evolution, but reworked for greater control.
The Evolution is a powerful humbucker, designed in collaboration with Steve Vai, delivering an aggressive, harmonically rich sound. It's ideal for high-energy styles of music that require high definition and the ability to cut through the mix, both live and in the studio.
On this model, the bass is full and the treble rich, but never strident. The midrange is slightly recessed, allowing the attack to be better measured. You can feel it as soon as you play with a bit of dynamics.
The pick-up handles big bends, explosive stops and delay or reverb effects well. And thanks to its F-spaced format, you can mount it on guitars fitted with bridges with wider spacing.
In the neck position, it produces very round sounds, perfect for blues, prog or jazz-rock.
