The DiMarzio DP290BK Fortitude Bridge is the kind of microphone you install once and never change again. Designed with Joe Duplantier from the band Gojira, this passive model is all about precision.
It's inspired by the PAF 36th Anniversary, but with a more muscular touch. It retains a well-rounded bottom end with a little boost at 160 Hz, perfect for low-tuned riffs. The reinforcement is discreet, just as it should be.
What's more, a slight cut around 500 Hz helps to keep the notes clean, even with a lot of gain. When palm muted or played back and forth, every attack stands out.
It's super responsive to nuances, so if you like to play with your fingers or vary the pressure, it'll keep up. This pickup is well suited to LP or superstrat guitars.
