At the end of the 80s, Billy Sheehan told DiMarzio about a young prodigy who had just arrived in California: a certain Paul Gilbert, barely 18 but already capable of melting picks. Seduced, the brand contacted him without delay. It was the start of a beautiful collaboration. Today, this partnership has given rise to the Injector Bridge, a single-coil pickup designed to respond to the technical madness of the Racer X guitarist.
This pickup has been designed for the bridge position, but it can also be used as a neck pickup if you have an even more powerful bridge. The bass is firm and solid. The highs are brilliant, but never pierce the eardrums.
It's not just a vintage coil with a makeover: it's a noise-armoured model, ready to take on the worst pedals and saturated amps. Thanks to its individual Alnico magnets and low magnetic field, your sustain is better and every attack comes out with more nuance.
Paul used it with an Area 67 in the middle to vary the sonic pleasures and it's a combo that works like a charm. On stage or in your home studio, it does a great job without ever limiting you.
