The Dimarzio DP435SN Mirage Neck is a custom mic designed for Jake Bowen (Periphery). It combines the clarity of a single-coil with the power of a humbucker. The result? A sound rich in harmonics, with smooth highs and strong bass.

With the DiMarzio DP435SN Mirage Neck microphone, Jake Bowen from Periphery wanted to think outside the box. Gone are the good old days of classic humbuckers: here, we have a daring mix of simple, supercharged windings and modern design.
Dimarzio answered the call with this double-blade pickup, inspired by the famous Cruiser and Chopper models. The sound? More saturated than a traditional pickup, but more open than a standard humbucker.
The bass is wide and well-balanced. In the highs, there's that little crystalline bell-like tinkle that Jake loves.
The output level has been increased to match the larger Mirage Bridge perfectly. Everything remains fluid and precise, without being aggressive.
The pickup's double-blade format makes it ideal for inclined positions, as on modern Ibanez models. And as for the look, this nickel satin complements the muscle car design of Jake's guitar.
Although designed for the neck, it also works wonders as a bridge.
