The DiMarzio DP718BK Occult Classic Bridge humbucker is the playing partner Dave Davidson imagined for his Jackson Warrior guitar. He wanted a pick-up that could take the heat without stifling it, even when played very low. The result? A clean attack, a deep, bassy sound that's never muddled.
Even with a big distortion, the notes remain clean. You hear every string and every interval. That's the strength of this pickup: there's no need to sort the sound with an EQ. Its medium output level means you can control saturation.

He is renowned for his unique approach to blending metal, fusion, rock and jazz into complex, progressive compositions.
