Electric Guitar Effects

Analogue distortion pedal designed to give more bite and boost, without drastically changing your sound, while retaining the nuances and character of your amp. It's like adding a tube preamp to your amp for more saturation. Single notes will have more overtones and sustain, power chords will be thicker and crunchier, complex chords will remain distinct and complex.

The Special Cranker has the same spongy, dynamic, touch-sensitive sound as the original Speaker Cranker but with more gain, twice the output volume (and a dedicated Level control), a new Tone control to control the treble and a diode selector to choose between the original asymmetrical silicon diodes and a new germanium diode option.

The More setting ranges from clean to moderate overdrive by adjusting the transistor bias. It can make noise when moved, which is perfectly normal.
The gain characteristics depend on the diodes selected. Germanium diodes give a smoother, rounder response with quieter highs and lower volume, while silicon diodes are brighter and more modern with more volume.
With maximum gain, the Special Cranker produces explosive sounds depending on the volume of your pickups.
The Tone control cuts the treble or adds a slight boost.
The Level control can double the output volume.
