Electric Guitar Effects

The Electro-Harmonix Oceans Abyss is a fully featured digital stereo reverb pedal. Equipped with 2 fully parameterisable stereo reverb engines and a customisable signal path, it offers up to 8 combinable effects blocks. Navigating the various settings is a breeze thanks to the easy-to-read OLED display and directional encoder. Between the modulation, saturation, delay and bit crushing possibilities, each creation becomes a playground in its own right. All this can be enhanced with saveable presets, MIDI connectivity and ultra-precise external control.

ARTICLE N° 107067
Electro-Harmonix's Oceans Abyss doesn't talk about reverb like the weather - it turns it into an instrument in its own right. Its dual engine allows you to juxtapose 2 stereo reverbs with a freedom of routing that would make a post office sorting office swoon. Shimmer, Spring, Hall and Polyphonic can be manipulated in real time, while the NavCoder guides you with a simple flick of the thumb. Each block can be combined with Delay, Chorus or Bit Crusher. The result is a sound laboratory ready to provoke some... creative echoes.

This pedal doesn't try to imitate a studio, it sticks the studio under your feet. The OLED display offers a crystal-clear interface for setting your presets, activating effects on the fly, or consulting your signal like a tube map on a Sunday morning - clear and straightforward. With 128 memory locations, you can plan your sets like a chef prepares his plates: in advance, with taste and without breaking a sweat. MIDI, USB-C, Expression and even a stereo FX loop complete the package. Frankly, the only thing missing is coffee.

What's striking is the system's agility: each parameter can be assigned to an external controller or integrated into a preset. Playing with a synth? An active bass? A baritone guitar? No problem. The Electro-Harmonix Oceans Abyss adapts and copes. Whether you're looking for vintage surf, cosmic shoegaze or psychedelic tremolo, it's got you covered. And if you've got a few too many footswitches lying around, it welcomes them with a smile, offering you ever more control over its effects.

Try it with an expression pedal on the shimmer - it turns a simple ambience into a cinematic layer.

Electro-Harmonix are no novices. Since Holy Grail, their approach to reverb has flirted with the absurd... in a good way.
This model is simply the continuation of a series of sonic inventions that have nourished the pedalboards of punks and ambient lovers alike. A history of collective experiments, to be done alone.
