Supro - Flanger

An analogue flanger is not simply a digital processing effect in disguise: the Supro Flanger derives its character from its discrete-component circuitry, in which the signal passes through a delay line modulated in real time. This architecture produces that characteristic sweep — that swirling breath that carves and lifts the spectrum — with a warmth and organic irregularity that digital synthesis cannot reproduce in quite the same way. The built-in modulation section expands the scope beyond that of a classic flanger, towards textures closer to deep chorus or subtle vibrato, depending on the setting.
The buffered bypass maintains the output impedance at 150 ohms even when the effect is disengaged, which stabilises the signal in long pedal chains and prevents loss of definition in the high frequencies. The 2.2 MΩ input impedance preserves the natural response of single-coil pickups, which are particularly sensitive to input load. The 9V DC power supply, with a current draw of 250 mA, is compatible with standard multi-output power supplies — no dedicated power supply is required.
The flat-finished casing, measuring 124.5 × 81.3 × 81.3 mm and weighing 0.45 kg, fits neatly onto a medium-sized pedalboard without encroaching on neighbouring pedals. Manufactured in China, it has the typical dimensions of the brand’s compact pedals.
