Passive Loudspeaker
A 2-way passive speaker, the EV EKX-12 is equipped with a 12" driver and a 1" titanium tweeter. All in a compact wooden enclosure, suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement scenarios, including for mobile musicians / DJs and for live / club performances and other fixed sound applications. It develops up to 1400 watts peak under 8 ohm, for a max SPL of 131dB!

EV’s award-winning industrial design, with rugged wood enclosures and a durable EVCoat finish, ensures that EKX loudspeakers sound as good as they look.
Passive models, with lightweight, compact wood enclosures, a durable EVCoat finish, 8 mounting points and a 35mm pole piece, are ideal for both portable and fixed installation applications.
EV’s patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) waveguide design provides precise and consistent coverage.
Their 90˚ x 60˚ dispersion provides the best coverage on medium-sized stages.
The 40˚ cutaway on the rear of the speakers allows them to be used as stage monitors.
