With an amplification power of 1800 Watts and a maximum sound pressure level of 134dB, the ETX-15SP 15-inch amplified subwoofer from Electro-Voice packs a punch!
It's equipped with a switchable low-pass filter that lets you switch between 80, 100, 120 or 150 Hz, and a DSP with a single selector giving access to presets for multiple combinations and head + subwoofer combinations (music styles, position, equalisation).
The ETX-15SP subwoofer benefits from the concept developed by ElectroVoice for its Concert range, to orientate the diffusion in such a way as to avoid an excess of low frequencies in unwanted areas. This avoids the propagation of low frequencies on stage and improves their diffusion towards the audience, while reducing them in adjacent areas.
Several ETX-15SP subwoofers can be installed together in a cardioid configuration to provide up to 30dB of rear rejection without additional processing. This rejection can be lower in a small room than outdoors.
The ETX-15SP has castors for easy transport in mobile applications. However, these castors can be removed for fixed installations.

The Electro-Voice ETX loudspeaker family has been built on EV's technical heritage to offer the most technologically advanced powered loudspeakers for fixed and mobile applications.
Output levels, frequency response and coverage are optimised thanks to SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) technology combined with a state-of-the-art DSP accessed by a simple rotary knob. The drivers designed and manufactured by EV for the ETX include SMX-type bass drivers using composite cones, flow stabiliser rings and temperature management.
These components offer lower distortion, more consistent response and higher SPL. The high-efficiency DH3-B compression driver features a convex diaphragm feeding a phase-coherent element extending the response curve up to 20 kHz.
The ETX family includes 3 2-way speaker models (25 cm, 30 cm, and 38 cm with a 1.5-inch titanium compression driver), a 3-way speaker and subwoofers with 38 cm and 46 cm drivers.
The ETXs combine a sophisticated EV DSP, high-power amplifiers and ultra-high-efficiency drivers to deliver the sound for which Electro-Voice is renowned.
