In addition to the usual functions, this creative, temperamental compressor includes a full set of special functions for creating textures and sounds that are as astonishing as they are effective. As well as the classic recording applications, it's particularly adept at manipulating envelopes and creating grooves.

Each of the two linkable channels features a switchable Auto Fast function for ultra-fast compression without the risk of distortion. The Anti Log circuit explicitly generates the pumping and breathing effects associated with compression. As the impressor is of the feed forward type, it allows for negative ratios, responsible for the most extreme over-compression effects.

The 'Tilt' EQs offer the possibility of modifying the timbre of the signal, in a subtle or pronounced way, across the entire audio spectrum. The Gain Reduction Limiter is an innovation that allows the user to choose the amount of gain reduction they do not want to exceed, using a simple knob.

The switchable external sidechain input allows even greater flexibility in the behaviour of the compressor. The design of the impressor's circuitry is based entirely on single-component ("discrete") analogue technology. Audio processing is carried out using single transistors operating in class-A, while the sidechain and power supply are also made up of completely discrete circuits.

An oversized power transformer, conductive plastic potentiometers in capsules, temperature stabilisers for the most critical elements, and current-feedback amplifiers... these are just some of the technological details. The combination of these elements is designed to achieve the highest signal quality while guaranteeing clean, powerful sound at the most extreme settings.
