Created in partnership with the Gibson Custom Shop, this 1959 ES-355 takes you back in time. Modeled on the construction of yesteryear, it uses a 5-ply maple/poplar body, a solid maple central block, a one-piece mahogany neck topped with an ebony fingerboard, and the little extra, pickups Gibson Custombucker USA bringing all the vintage sounds from the 50s/60s.
Presentation
This is the premium ES model in all its glory, from the dimensions to the contours to the identical inlay patterns and sound experience.
The 1959 ES-355 features a 5-ply laminated maple/poplar body with a solid maple center block for sustain and feedback resistance, a one-piece mahogany neck with a medium C-profile rounded 50s style, and an ebony fingerboard decorated with block-shaped mother-of-pearl inlays.
The Gibson "open book" style headstock features the diamond inlays and mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo, along with gold-tone Grover Rotomatic tuners and the Gibson-inspired double diamond logo engraved on the back. The 1959 ES-355 is powered by a pair of hand-wired Gibson Custombuckers pickups with CTS pots, Mallory condensers, and a Switchcraft pickup selector and output jack.
Also included is a brown and pink hardshell case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo.
