Presentation
The Flight Aurora Baritone EQ-A is the first baritone model to join the renowned Princess series, thereby meeting strong demand from musicians. This large ukulele produces a beautifully deep tone, enhanced by a solid spruce top renowned for its dynamic response and crystal-clear high notes.
This is complemented by a laminated rosewood body, which provides a warm foundation and rich texture in the mid and low frequencies. This combination of woods, a classic in the world of guitar-making, offers the ideal acoustic balance for this size.
Traditionally tuned to D-G-B-E (like the four treble strings of a guitar), it allows guitarists to instantly fall back on their instincts whilst discovering a unique, textured tone.
Comfort under the fingers is ensured by an African mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard, featuring exclusive fret markers as well as edge markers for easy navigation.
To make it easier to reach the highest notes without ever losing the body’s natural volume or projection, the luthiers have designed a particularly smooth, sculpted cutaway, accentuated by an elegant black binding. The through-body bridge system maximises the resonance of the Flight Custom strings, whilst the genuine bone saddles ensure impeccable intonation.
Whether on stage or in the studio, the Double C1U active preamp is completely unobtrusive: its control knobs are concealed beneath the abalone and mother-of-pearl rosette, thus avoiding the need to drill into the side. When travelling, it is well protected in its superb burgundy luxury case, featuring 15 mm padding.
