Presentation
The Flight Fireball EQ-A Tenor stands out for its practical approach to comfort and tone. Built around a body crafted entirely from solid mango wood, this ukulele is distinguished by the natural, contrasting grain patterns unique to each piece of wood. Acoustically, the mango wood produces a particularly soft and warm tone, similar to koa in its clarity, whilst offering the generous projection and depth characteristic of the tenor size.
Ergonomics is at the heart of this model, with several features designed to make playing easier. A stained maple armrest softens contact with the top of the body, thereby preventing any strain on the forearm.
The bevelled cutaway, meanwhile, allows you to easily reach the highest notes on the rosewood fingerboard, without reducing the volume of the instrument’s body. A major innovation in this model is a second soundhole carved into the top side. This acoustic vent directs the sound directly towards your ears, providing a faithful and instantaneous response to your playing nuances.
The African mahogany neck ensures a stable grip, complemented by genuine bone nut and a rosewood peg bridge that maintain precise intonation. On the electronics side, the Double C1U active preamp allows the instrument to be connected to an amplifier or mixing desk simply and seamlessly.
Its volume and tone control knobs remain concealed beneath the rim of the stained maple rosette to preserve the wood’s clean design. This tenor model comes ready to play with a burgundy protective case padded with 20 mm of velvet on the inside, as well as a humidifier to care for its solid wood.
