Focal has improved its acclaimed Solo6 loudspeaker by introducing a new Focus full-range mode. In this mode, the woofer alone becomes a full-range driver, eliminating frequencies outside the range 110 Hz to 10 kHz. This configuration simulates the behaviour of a small speaker, making it easier to control and adjust mixes to maintain a coherent balance.
Solo6 ST6 speakers are particularly well suited to multi-channel mixes. Consider combining them with Twin6 ST6 speakers and one or two Sub12s for a complete configuration.

The ST6 range has been developed to meet the needs of professionals who need to be equipped to mix in Dolby Atmos.

- W" composite sandwich diaphragm: neutral sound, no distortion
- Focus mode: two monitors in one; 2-way monitor and 1-way full-range monitor (woofer only)
- Large laminar port: no port noise or distortion
- Inserts for wall mounting
- Switchable automatic standby mode
- Settings: high-pass, LF shelving, HF shelving, LPF @ 160 Hz
On the basis of the product data sheets alone, these models do not seem to offer any improvement in bass. However, this can simply be explained by the fact that, since the development of the first Solo6 and Twin6, Focal has renovated its anechoic chamber and modernised its analysis tools, thus greatly increasing their precision. You'll also notice that the product sheets for the first Solo6 Be and Twin6 Be didn't specify the frequency response measurement range in dB.
If you haven't already done so, we encourage you to listen to these new speakers and compare them to the previous Solo6 and Twin6. You'll see that there's no deterioration in performance - quite the contrary!
