Presentation
The Focal Twin6 ST6 marks a new chapter in the history of professional studio monitors. A direct evolution of the Twin6 Be model, it is aimed at sound engineers, producers and composers who are looking for faithful, stable reproduction without coloration at every stage of music production.
This 2.5-way monitor is based on a bi-amplified configuration equipped with two 6.5" woofers with "W" composite diaphragms, exclusive to Focal, ensuring fine control of the response in the bass and low-midrange. The result is greater definition, articulation and depth, even at high volumes. In addition, the Beryllium inverted dome tweeter offers extreme precision in the treble, without auditive fatigue, up to 40 kHz.
The system incorporates large laminar vents designed to optimise airflow without turbulence, enhancing clarity in the low frequencies. The Focus mode, which can be activated in the studio, transforms the Twin6 into a reduced-band monitor (110 Hz - 10 kHz), useful for checking the compatibility of your mixes on smaller systems.
Connectors include a balanced XLR input, plus a number of acoustic adaptation settings: low-cut, low-midrange equalisation, bass and treble shelving, left/right direction switch, etc. All these parameters allow you to adapt your mix precisely to your needs. All these parameters allow you to adapt the monitor's behaviour precisely to your listening space.
Built in a 22 mm thick MDF cabinet, with an elegant dark red veneer and a black front panel, the Twin6 ST6 combines audio performance with meticulous aesthetics. It's a reliable tool for mixing, mastering or composing, in a compact format that doesn't compromise on precision.

The ST6 range has been developed to meet the needs of professionals who need to equip themselves to mix in Dolby Atmos.

Based solely on the product data sheets, these models do not seem to offer any improvement in bass. However, this can simply be explained by the fact that, since the development of the first Solo6 and Twin6, Focal has renovated its anechoic chamber and modernised its analysis tools, thereby greatly increasing their precision. You'll also notice that the product sheets for the first Solo6 Be and Twin6 Be didn't specify the frequency response measurement range in dB.
If you haven't already done so, we encourage you to listen to these new speakers and compare them to the previous Solo6 and Twin6. You'll see that there's no deterioration in performance - quite the contrary!
