The KH 310 II L is the left-hand version of Neumann’s three-way studio monitor. It combines a 210 mm ELFF woofer, a 75 mm midrange driver and a 25 mm tweeter with an advanced DSP architecture compatible with the MA 1 (not supplied). Its frequency response of 36 Hz to 20 kHz at ±1.25 dB, its linearity of ±0.6 dB and its maximum SPL of 121.4 dB SPL in half-space make it a particularly accurate monitoring tool.

Presentation
The Neumann KH 310 II L is a three-way studio monitor designed for critical monitoring applications in recording, music production, post-production, broadcast and mastering studios, as well as for immersive audio set-ups.
This model is the left-hand speaker of the KH 310 II system. It features a three-way design with a 210 mm (8 1/4") woofer, a 75 mm (3") magnetically shielded midrange driver and a 25 mm (1") tweeter fitted with a black metal protective grille.
The woofer utilises ELFF technology, whilst the sealed enclosure ensures precise and controlled bass reproduction. The frequency response ranges from 29 Hz to 21 kHz at ±6 dB, from 33 Hz to 21 kHz at ±3 dB, and from 36 Hz to 20 kHz at ±1.25 dB. Linearity is specified at ±0.6 dB between 100 Hz and 10 kHz.
The system features an active digital DSP architecture with 32-bit audio processing and 64-bit double-precision calculations. Automatic room calibration is provided via the MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system, whilst linear-phase FIR phase correction is available from 60 Hz to 18 kHz.
Connectivity includes an electronically balanced XLR analogue input, as well as an AES3id digital input and output via 75 Ω BNC connectors. The monitor can be controlled locally or via the network and features a delay setting of up to 120 ms.
The amplification comprises three Class D channels delivering 300 W for the bass, 160 W for the midrange and 125 W for the tweeter when the limiter is disabled, with a THD+N of 10 per cent. Several independent protection systems are built in, including soft-clip, peak and thermal limiters, a bass excursion limiter and thermal protection for the electronics and amplifiers.
