The Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Iced Tea Burst is a true work of sonic and visual art, perfectly embodying the golden age of electric guitars.
This faithful recreation of the 1959 Les Paul Standard is the result of meticulous work, aimed at offering modern players an authentic and immersive experience.
Its solid mahogany body is topped with a two-piece flamed maple top, perfectly sculpted and fitted with animal glue for optimal resonance.
The VOS (Vintage Patina) Nitrocellulose finish brings a unique vintage touch, while the mahogany neck adopts the “50s Rounded Medium C” profile, faithful to the historical dimensions for exceptional playability.
The Indian rosewood fingerboard, adorned with cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays, accommodates 22 medium-jumbo frets. With a 12-inch radius, it offers unmatched comfort for chording and soloing.
Every detail, from the glue-tuned “Long Tenon” body/neck joint to the gold Top Hats, reflects the care taken in recreating this legendary instrument.
Under the hood, the unwaxed Alnico 3 Custombucker pickups deliver a sound incredibly faithful to that of vintage PAFs. Their tone is rich, expressive and slightly rough, capturing the sonic essence that marked the 50s.
