Made in Gibson's Kalamazoo, Michigan, workshop, the first Humbucker "Patent Applied For" pickups were wound with less-than-precise machines that made each pickup slightly different from the next in terms of output and tone. The BurstBucker pickup range was born out of Gibson's desire to recreate the magic of the original Humbucker™ "Patent Applied for" pickups.
