Here, the manufacturer offers a new version of its famous Super Hot Humbucker, replacing the 3 ceramic III magnets with a single ceramic VIII magnet for a more modern, mid-range sound that's just as impressive as ever. Available in black and 4 conductors.

Created in the 1970s, Gibson's Dirty Fingers quickly became an iconic pickup for Blues, Rock and especially Metal electric guitarists.
Its dynamic character adapts to the guitarist's style of playing, and a straightforward attack on the strings generates a hyper-aggressive sound while retaining the warmth and colour of the pickup. It also has a strong treble presence, so it can cut through the mix in any situation.
This new SM version replaces the 3 Ceramic III magnets and over-winding of the previous generation, which add warmth and thickness, with a powerful Ceramic VIII magnet and a more balanced winding.
The result is a sound that's just as punchy and colourful, with a bump in the midrange for greater presence in modern registers, while retaining the typical Dirty Fingers grain. The 4 conductors give you the option of cabling including split coils, to soften the output level using a single coil.
While remaining an excellent choice for ballsy blues fans, the Dirty Fingers SM will become the weapon of choice for modern rockers.
