The Gretsch CC2-R444C-DCSP Catalina Club features 7-ply mahogany drums with a 30° chamfer, a central combination in Gretsch's history of sound. The 24" x 14" bass drum develops a wide, deep and very stable bass, designed for powerful, laid-back playing.

Presentation
The Gretsch CC2-R444C-DCSP Catalina Club drum kit uses the 7-ply mahogany formula introduced when the Catalina Club series was launched. This choice of wood has a direct influence on the bass density and overall roundness of the kit. The 30° chamfer improves skin-to-barrel contact and makes tuning easier.
The 24" x 14" bass drum, supplied undrilled, produces a full response with plenty of foundation. The 13" x 9" tom remains precise while retaining true note width. The 16" x 16" bass tom delivers a clean, controlled fall. The 14" x 6.5" snare drum generates a full sound, with a good reserve of dynamics.
The 1.6 mm triple-flange steel hoops provide even projection without stiffening the touch. The wood hoops on the bass drum reinforce the acoustic coherence of the kit. The Mini GTS system limits the loss of vibration from the toms. The 'Gas Cap' mounting plate stabilises the whole without weighing down the structure. Gretsch T-Wing screws simplify quick adjustments.
Telescopic bass drum legs ensure a reliable hold on stage. The Remo heads selected by Gretsch enable the sound to be worked on immediately without replacement. This 24" configuration is ideal for drummers looking for a massive bass and an assertive presence!
