The Gretsch CC2-R444C-SSP Catalina Club uses 7-ply mahogany drums with a 30° chamfer, a familiar Gretsch sound base. The 24" x 14" bass drum delivers a wide, smooth bass with plenty of air and a clean attack. The original Remo heads and Mini GTS mounting allow the kit to be set up quickly.

Presentation
The Gretsch CC2-R444C-SSP Catalina Club is based on the 7-ply mahogany construction introduced with the Catalina Club series. This type of body produces a dense bass response and even projection. The 30° chamfer improves the fit of the skin and makes tuning more stable.
The 24" x 14" bass drum, supplied undrilled, develops a broad, deep sound base. The 13" x 9" tom remains legible even at high volume. The 16" x 16" bass tom descends low while retaining control. The 14" x 6.5" snare produces a thick sound with a good reserve of dynamics.
The triple-flange 1.6 mm steel hoops let the drum breathe without restricting harmonics. The wood hoops on the bass drum add to the overall coherence of the kit. The Mini GTS system limits the loss of vibration from the toms. The 'Gas Cap' bass drum mount provides a solid hold without stiffening the assembly. Gretsch T-Wing screws make frequent adjustments easy.
The telescopic bass drum legs guarantee good stability on the floor. The Remo heads selected by Gretsch allow you to play immediately without changing. This 24" configuration is ideal for drummers looking for massive bass and a strong presence in the mix.
