The Gretsch Catalina Maple Black Stardust features a 7-ply maple body for a stable, even sound base.
When you place the toms, the GTS system lets them vibrate naturally for a longer resonance. The 30° chamfer helps each barrel to react quickly under the stick. The 2.3 mm steel hoops maintain tension without distorting the sound.
The 10 "x7" tom provides a lively attack for fast ideas. The 12 "x8" tom adds a rounder tone for varying contrasts. The 14 "x14" floor tom provides easy-to-manage depth, even at low volume. The 20 "x16" bass drum produces a clear low end that is well suited to multi-purpose situations. The 14 "x5.5" snare drum responds with easy-to-use precision for clean patterns.
The Full Range Triggering System makes it easy to adjust tone without headaches. Remo-made Gretsch heads help maintain a consistent tone. Rubber-insulated bass drum grips prevent marks and stabilise tuning. T-Wing screws make adjustments quick, even on repeat. The included double tom holder simplifies set-up both on stage and at home.
