The Gretsch Catalina Club CC2-R424 Piano Black is for drummers who like to feel the space vibrate under their playing. With its 4-piece configuration - 12" x 8" tom, 16" x 16" bass tom, 22" x 14" kick drum and 14" x 6.5" snare drum - this kit immediately changes the scale. It's a drum kit that supports the groove, carries the band and keeps things really legible, even in more powerful contexts.
The 7-ply mahogany drums give the ensemble a natural warmth and a very pleasant depth under the sticks. The 30° chamfers give the sound a vintage feel, with round attacks and controlled sustain. The 22" bass drum adds weight and breath, while the 16" bass tom provides a solid base for downstrokes and heavy grooves.
Chrome hardware, a single tom holder, the Mini GTS system and Gretsch T-Wing tie rods add to the feeling of comfort and stability. Gretsch skins made by Remo make the kit immediately playable. Supplied without cymbals or stands, this Catalina Club is a serious foundation for drummers who want to build a personal, wide-ranging and expressive set.
