Hagstrom - Krona 7 Satin Black

With its seventh string, the Hagstrom Krona 7 Satin Black naturally extends the electric guitar’s range into deeper bass tones, without sacrificing the definition required for riffs and melodic parts. Its mahogany body is paired with a Canadian maple top featuring a flamed maple veneer, and a Canadian maple neck secured by a mortise-and-tenon glue-in joint. The Slim C profile and Resinator™ fingerboard guide your fingers across the 22 Medium Jumbo frets, with a 15" radius. The Satin Black finish lends the guitar a understated aesthetic, enhanced by the Single Cut body shape and multi-layer binding.

Both humbuckers have been adapted for this 7-string version. In the neck position, the Agent-X-7 prioritises precise articulation and good clarity, which helps to maintain a clear definition of the notes in the lower register. The Penetrator-7, fitted at the bridge, focuses more on attack and output level for more aggressive tones. The 3-position selector switch provides access to the different pickup positions, with two volume controls featuring an R/C circuit combining a resistor and a capacitor. The two tone controls also feature a push/pull split function to alter the humbucker’s operation and access single-coil-style tones.

The 25.5" (648 mm) scale length complements this 7-string configuration, with a 48 mm nut width to accommodate the extra width of the neck. The Hagstrom Machined Steel Hardtail bridge utilises machined steel saddles and a string-through-body design. The Hagstrom Locking Design tuning machines feature a 19:1 gear ratio, and the instrument is completed by a set of D’Addario XSE1056 10-56 strings.
