Do you need help?
The Harrison FLEX-10 is an audio interface that retains the precision expected of modern digital conversion, whilst adding genuine analogue circuitry to begin shaping the sound even before you open your first plug-in.

Its two Harrison mic preamps form the heart of this approach. The H-Drive circuit processes the signal through a transformer, allowing you to gradually add density, warmth and harmonics. This means you can record a clean, open vocal, give a bass more body or thicken a guitar sound without having to wait until the mixing stage.

The FLEX-10 also features high-pass and low-pass filters integrated directly into the analogue signal path. The high-pass filter helps eliminate vibrations, handling noise or unwanted low-end energy. The low-pass filter allows you to tone down a source that’s too bright or refocus its frequency response. In short, it means less tidying up to do later in the session.

The analogue inserts open up the recording chain even further. You can connect a compressor, an equaliser, an external processor or a 500-series module and record the result directly. This feature brings the FLEX-10 closer to the operation of a traditional mixing desk, whilst retaining the convenience of a compact studio interface.

With 10 inputs and 12 outputs, it can become the hub of an already well-equipped home studio. Microphones, instruments, synthesisers, monitor speakers, headphones and external devices can all be integrated into a coherent setup without having to constantly play Tetris with the cables.

The monitoring section features two dedicated circuits and two headphone outputs. This setup facilitates multi-person sessions, recording with an artist in another room, or comparing two monitoring systems. It also makes it easier to separate the musician’s monitoring from that of the control room.

Need more inputs? The 8 ADAT input and output channels allow you to connect a compatible preamp or external converter. The FLEX-10 can therefore start out as the heart of a compact studio and then scale up to support a more ambitious setup as the number of microphones, synths or peripherals increases.

MIDI connections round off this architecture, allowing the integration of drum machines, synthesisers and other hardware. Conversion up to 32-bit / 192 kHz ensures detailed reproduction during recording, monitoring and mixing alike.

Harrison also provides a comprehensive production environment alongside the interface. Mixbus 12 is included, with its console-inspired workflow, as well as the Creator Pack, comprising virtual instruments, plug-ins and sound banks. This means you can start a full session without having to immediately assemble a whole collection of additional software.
