Hotone - EC-4 Ampero Control

The Hotone EC-4 Ampero Control is designed for musicians who want to take full control of their entire system using their feet, without having to use their hands between tracks. With its four fully programmable footswitches, it acts as a control centre for your MIDI setup. Each switch can trigger multiple actions depending on whether it is pressed or held down. You can switch between presets, activate effects or control a looper without taking your eyes off your instrument.

It communicates via standard MIDI, USB and Bluetooth, making it compatible with a wide variety of devices. Whether you’re using a multi-effects unit, a synth, an amp or music production software, it can send PC, CC or Note On/Off messages. It can also control functions such as starting and stopping a recorder or triggering additional sounds during a live performance. This versatility makes it useful both in the studio and on stage.

Each footswitch can handle up to 16 MIDI messages, or even 32 in A/B mode, allowing you to create highly detailed set-ups. You can define entire banks with different behaviours to suit your tracks. The 100 internal banks provide plenty of scope to build a complete set without having to reprogram everything each time. The built-in LED display shows essential information such as MIDI messages or Bluetooth status.

The mobile app simplifies the entire setup process, with an interface designed to avoid complicated settings. You can create your own templates or use the ready-made ones for different devices. The two TRS inputs allow you to add expression pedals or additional footswitches. Powered via USB or 9–18 V, the EC-4 can be integrated into a wide variety of set-ups without any particular restrictions.
