The Ibanez ANB205-TWB Transparent Wine Red Burst is a premium 5-string bass designed in collaboration with Adam Nitti, a bassist known for his technical and expressive playing. This bass offers a perfect combination of premium materials, high-end components and ergonomic features designed to provide optimal playability.
The body of this bass is made of swamp ash, a wood known for its crystal clear highs and rich harmonics. Its "Transparent Wine Red Burst" finish highlights the natural texture of the wood while offering an elegant and professional look.
For the neck, Ibanez has opted for a three-piece maple construction, guaranteeing increased stability and optimal playing comfort. The neck is topped with a maple fingerboard, known for its clear and bright tones, as well as its powerful mids. This fingerboard is decorated with black rectangular markers, adding a touch of sophistication to the whole.
The ANB205 is equipped with Bartolini 59CBJD-S3 pickups in the neck position and 59CBJD-L3 in the bridge position. These passive pickups are specially designed to offer a wide frequency range with defined highs and deep lows. The Bartolini NTMB+F ANB Custom 3-band preamp allows for precise tone shaping, offering independent adjustments for bass, mids and treble. A three-position selector switch allows you to choose between different mid frequencies (250 Hz, 500 Hz, 800 Hz) for more sonic flexibility.
The ergonomics of this bass are also a strong point. The design includes an additional cutout at the back of the lower horn, inspired by Ibanez SR basses, facilitating access to the higher frets. The Hipshot A-style bridge, with 18 mm string spacing, guarantees perfect tuning stability and excellent transfer of string vibration.
The BLACK TUSQ XL Graph Tech nut also contributes to the clarity and precision of the sound. The matte black finished components add a modern and discreet touch to this sophisticated looking bass. Supplied with D'Addario EXL165 strings and an additional set of .130, the Ibanez ANB205-TWB is a bass ready to meet the needs of demanding players.
