As soon as you plug in the Joyo Dr.J Armor Buffer pedal, you can immediately feel the difference, even without touching the switch. In fact, the two buffers (one at the input, one at the output) work continuously to preserve the signal.
When you have a long chain of effects or a well-stocked pedalboard, this pedal quickly becomes indispensable. Even if all your pedals are true bypass, you still lose a little clarity because of the cables. Here, the sound remains lively and clean, with all its harmonics intact.
And if you ever want to send a solo forward, the built-in boost does the job without changing the sound colour. Placed at the beginning and end of the chain, it acts as a bodyguard for your signal. Nothing is crushed, nothing drools, everything is reproduced with precision. The footswitch only activates the boost, so there's no confusion.
