Kala - Solid Acacia Concert

The Solid Acacia Concert reference is one of the solid wood instruments from the famous Kala brand.

True to its reputation, the Californian company takes care in the construction of its most traditional models. For this model in particular, it uses acacia.

This wood has the advantage of being very close to Koa, a rarer and highly sought-after material in Hawaiian violin making.

While these two woods are primarily similar in their figuration – with very varied grain patterns – the ukuleles in the Solid Acacia series also have a clear and warm sound that improves further throughout their break-in period.

The acacia, with its satin finish, blends harmoniously with the rosewood fingerboard and the mahogany neck.

Several aesthetic details – the maple binding, the rosette, the openwork headstock and the fingerboard markers – contribute to making it a beautiful object.
