The KRK V6 S5 strikes a balance within the V-Series range, delivering more substance in the bass without losing the analytical character for which KRK is known. It is designed for studios where a more comprehensive listening experience is required, capable of accurately reproducing a mix across a variety of systems.
The 6.5-inch woven Kevlar woofer forms the heart of the sound reproduction. It offers better extension at the lower end of the spectrum than the more compact models, whilst maintaining a controlled response in the low-midrange, which is often critical in mixing. Combined with a two-channel amplifier and a soft-dome tweeter, the system maintains a stable and detailed stereo image, even at higher volumes.
As with the rest of the series, KRK has integrated its KRK Mesh wireless control ecosystem into this model. Once connected to the KRK Control app, the V6 S5 can be configured remotely, either individually or as part of a group. This allows you to manage everything from simple stereo setups to more complex installations, with the ability to compare multiple EQ curves or switch between different listening environments in a matter of seconds.
The internal processing is based on an advanced DSP that allows the speaker’s response to be adapted to the room. Boundary EQ presets facilitate integration into untreated or partially treated studios, whilst parametric EQs offer finer tuning for demanding professional environments.
The overall philosophy remains the same: to provide a reliable representation of the mix, without excessive embellishment, whilst offering sufficient tools to adapt the speaker’s behaviour to a wide range of conditions.
