The Latin Percussion LP1443L Lil' MT cajon is the signature model of Mona Tavakoli, an artist renowned for popularising the use of the cajon in rock and pop. Inspired by her original MT Box, this smaller format is designed to suit young players who want to learn how to play this instrument!
Its eco-board body is environmentally friendly, while offering a high level of sturdiness. As for the birch top, it gives a clear, precise sound, in keeping with Mona's exacting standards. Mona Tavakoli is a Los Angeles-based drummer and singer, renowned for integrating the cajon into styles such as rock and pop. Her professional career began in 1999 with the formation of the all-girl band Raining Jane. For almost a decade, she has collaborated with Jason Mraz, with whom she co-wrote and recorded the album "YES! She is also co-founder of Rock n' Roll Camp For Girls Los Angeles, a non-profit organisation that encourages young girls to express themselves through music.
