Presentation
The L.R. Baggs Element Active System VTC piezo pickup doesn't just amplify your guitar. It reveals it. This ultra-thin sensor, slipped under the nut, doesn't just pick up the sound of the strings: it reproduces the very breathing of the wood, the nuances of the playing and the musician's dynamics.
There's no fixed or plastic sound here. Just an organic, natural response, faithful to every inflection. The transducer hugs the soundboard like a second skin, delivering round lows, punchy mids and never-shrill highs. Fingerstyle, strumming or syncopated arpeggios: everything comes through, everything sounds, everything lives.
The discreet Class A preamp, housed in the jack, remains totally silent, even at high volume. And thanks to active multi-band compression in the bass, the bass remains dense but never muddy. A subtle balance, calibrated for both live performance and recording.
Quick installation, with no invasive drilling: the volume and tone controls slide into the rosette. No soldering, no headaches. The Element VTC fits 3/32" and 1/8" saddles, and works well with steel-string folk guitars.
Handcrafted in California and individually tested, this system provides up to 1,000 hours of battery life on a 9V battery. Lightweight, discreet and powerful, it's a jewel of ingenuity at the service of playing and wood.
