The LR Baggs HiFi Duet is designed for acoustic guitarists who want to go beyond traditional pickups. This system combines high-fidelity bridge transducers with an advanced Silo microphone, offering an impressively rich palette of sound.
The transducers convey the heart of the instrument's timbre with balance and definition, while the microphone adds a dimension of air and depth. Together, they give the impression of playing in front of a studio microphone, but without the constraints of feedback or placement.
Installation is simplified by an adhesive system and a supplied template, and respects the integrity of the guitar. So you can keep your natural acoustics intact while accessing top-of-the-range amplification.
The integrated discrete preamp makes it easy to mix the two sound sources and adjust the sound according to the context. You can obtain a direct, punchy sound for rhythmic playing, or an airy, immersive rendition for a delicate solo.
The rosette-mounted controls offer intuitive operation, with volume, mix and mic level adjustment, and even a drum test. The battery life is impressive, with over 180 hours of play on a single 9V battery.
