The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop FLF Model Trembucker comes from the brand’s Custom Shop, where each unit is handcrafted. This passive dual-coil pickup features an H-configuration, is designed for bridge mounting and is available in black. It completes the Ryan ‘Fluff’ Bruce signature series.
Its continuous resistance of 17.4 kΩ is powered by an Alnico 4 bar magnet and shielded 4-conductor wiring. The winding combines a coil from the JB Model (SH-4) and a coil from the Black Winter, two models that form the basis of this tonal blend. The high output is taken up a notch, the rich mids gain in density, the percussive attack hits hard, and the singing trebles avoid any harshness.
In the bridge position, this Trembucker is ideal for aggressive rhythm playing in low tunings and for lead work in modern, high-gain applications. As the volume is turned down, the clean tone becomes softer without losing its clarity.
Ryan ‘Fluff’ Bruce uses it on his Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay signature model, where this Trembucker complements the humbucker version already offered by the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop. The name ‘Trembucker’ directly evokes its intended use: the bridge position on guitars fitted with a vibrato.

His collaboration with Seymour Duncan resulted in the FLF Model, based on his two favourite pickups: the JB Model and the Black Winter.
