Marcus Miller has received a number of major awards over the course of his career. He has won two Grammy Awards, including one for the album "M²" in 2001 in the contemporary jazz category. In 2013, he also received a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Netherlands. That same year, UNESCO named him Artist for Peace. In this role, he takes part in cultural and educational projects linked to the history of slavery and cultural exchanges between Africa and the Americas. His commitment therefore goes far beyond the musical sphere, demonstrating his interest in human and social issues.
