Martin Guitars - OM 35 Inception

The skeletonised X-bracing, in a scalloped ‘Golden Era’ style, made history in Martin’s luthiery tradition before being reintroduced on the OM-35 Inception™, a model built on the 000-14 Fret body shape. This lightweight design allows the top to vibrate more freely – a technical choice rather than a decorative one.

The top, crafted from FSC®-certified European spruce, and the three-piece back—made of black walnut with a central piece of flamed American white oak—trace a lineage of wood carefully selected from the moment of felling. The FSC®-certified ebony bridge, in the GE Modern Belly style, completes this chain of fine materials right down to the smallest visible detail.

The black walnut neck, with a GE Modified Low Oval profile and a satin finish, glides smoothly under the hand without any rough grain. The FSC®-certified ebony fingerboard features 20 frets and Style 28 Hex mother-of-pearl inlays, a graphic nod to Martin’s identity.

The nickel-plated RATIO® tuners with skeletonised Butterbean buttons maintain tuning without any slack. The factory-fitted Authentic Acoustic Lifespan® 2.0 phosphor bronze strings, in Light gauge, are equally suited to flatpicking and songwriting in the studio.

The moulded hard case, with a custom-fit, plush-lined interior, protects the instrument on the road and in the studio. Martin offers a limited lifetime warranty on the OM-35 Inception™, a model designed for fingerstyle, flatpicking and songwriting.
