Folk Electro Acoustic Guitar
The D-16E by Martin USA is an electro-acoustic folk instrument designed as an expressive ally, combining ample projection with a surprisingly fluid grip. Its Dreadnought format is based on Auditorium-inspired ergonomics, turning every chord into a natural, almost instinctive gesture. The satin-finish solid spruce top captures every nuance, with a balanced, lively response. The integrated E1 electronics accompany both subtle stops and straightforward attacks, and the whole thing retains a discreet elegance, ready to follow your inspirations without ever stealing the limelight.

Presentation
The D-16E guitar is carefully crafted in the American workshops of Martin & Co, where every step is focused on precision and consistency of sound. The result is a reliable instrument whose vibration spreads evenly throughout the body.
Thanks to its Forward-Shifted X Brace carved from spruce, this electro-acoustic folk guitar develops supple, responsive dynamics. The bass is full-bodied without being heavy, the midrange remains legible, and the treble maintains controlled clarity, even when played hard.
The choice of mahogany for the back and sides gives a warm, structured response, perfectly balanced by the solid spruce top. This combination promotes even projection and precise articulation, making the guitar equally at home in accompaniment and melodic playing. The satin finish is soft to the touch, enhancing overall comfort and allowing the wood to breathe freely, for a natural interaction between the instrument and your playing.
The C-shaped neck creates a feeling of continuity between the hand and the ebony fingerboard. As a result, your movements become more fluid, complex chords flow more smoothly, and fatigue is forgotten, even during long stretches of inspired playing.
The Martin E1 active preamp opens up a wide range of sonic possibilities. Volume, tone and phase controls allow you to adapt the sound to any context, from intimate, amplified playing to a more generous stage.
