The Millennia HV-3C is a Transformerless Stereo Preamplifier with a frequency range of 4Hz to 300kHz. The Millennia HV-3C is a new version of the HV-3B dual-channel microphone preamplifier, with improved mechanical and cosmetic design, and standard 36-level gain control. Combining a byte of discrete bipolar transistors perfectly matched with a FET-based coupled laser DC, the HV-3C is an extremely wide dynamic range stereo preamp, fully "double symmetrical", particularly good on acoustic recording. According to Gary Garritan of Garritan Orchestral Strings, "Millennia Media HV-3 is the preamplifier of choice, I have several high-end mic preamps and I still use the HV-3 to record orchestral samples."
