Outdoor Use
The shotgun microphone 82 provides a high output level and has a noise level reported to the extremely low entrance.

Low power consumption, low weight, and low sensitivity to wind and handling noise make it an ideal tool for miking outdoor reporting.

Its small size, combined with an ideal location in the center of gravity, easy handling without whiplash effect.

However, outside when the wind is pronounced, we recommend using an additional windscreen (supplied as standard accessory). The windscreen is made of polyurethane foam, and also acts as soft padding for the microphone when in its leather carrying case.

For mobile use, a handle and an elastic suspension are available. There is even an active handle, incorporating a power source (battery), making it unnecessary to use an external phantom power.

Shotgun microphones are particularly valuable in recording situations where it is impossible to place a microphone at the desired distance from the sound source to obtain a sufficiently high signal level.
Most common applications are film and video shoots where the microphone must not obviously appear in the image. The KMR 82 is very often used on stage.
