The Neumann WSB is a helmet-style windscreen specially designed for the Neumann KU 100 microphone. The latter is a binaural microphone often used for immersive recordings, such as for audiovisual productions or video games.
The main role of the Neumann WSB windscreen is to attenuate the wind noise that can occur when recording with the KU 100. This parasitic noise can significantly degrade the quality of the recording. The WSB therefore allows for a cleaner and more natural recording.
