Presentation
The Neumann KH 80 DSP is a high-end monitoring loudspeaker that sets new standards for professional studios, post-production rooms and home audio mixing environments.
Featuring advanced acoustic design and cutting-edge technologies, this compact loudspeaker offers sonic precision and clarity unmatched in its class.
The 4-inch woofer uses a sandwich diaphragm of composite materials, optimised for fast and accurate low-frequency response, while the 1-inch dome tweeter, combined with a Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide, ensures even dispersion of sound over a wide listening area. This configuration guarantees remarkable fidelity of sonic detail, from the bass to the top of the spectrum.
The integrated Class D amplifiers provide 120 W of power for bass and 70 W for high frequencies, all with thermal protection for maximum reliability. The speaker's frequency response, from 57 Hz to 21 kHz, ensures faithful, balanced reproduction of audio content.
The sophisticated 8th-order crossover system, managed by DSP, maintains a linear phase response, essential for the precise alignment of phase time between the loudspeakers, thus improving the stereo image and localisation of sound sources.
Multiple adjustment options, including an 8-point parametric equalizer and a 4-position external low-mid switch, allow fine-tuning to the acoustic characteristics of the listening space.
The integrated 70 ms delay is a particularly useful feature for home cinema or video configurations, allowing perfect restoration of lip-synchrony. The various built-in limiters protect the loudspeaker from excess signal, guaranteeing long-lasting, distortion-free performance, even at high sound pressure levels.
Balanced analogue input on XLR/Jack provides flexible connectivity, and the universal switch-mode power supply with adjustable standby function underlines Neumann's commitment to sustainability and energy conservation.
