The Neve 88C is a two-channel VCA compressor, directly derived from the legendary 88RS console, offering precise and transparent compression for sound professionals.
Designed in a compact format, it combines exceptional audio quality with great flexibility for use in the studio or on the go, thanks to its USB-C power supply, a world first for this type of device.
Equipped with balanced TRS connections for inputs and outputs, the Neve 88C integrates easily into any production environment. Its dynamic range of more than 110 dB, combined with an ultra-low distortion of 0.004%, guarantees optimal sonic transparency, even in the most demanding scenarios.
Advanced features include an optimized gain reduction system, offering ratios from 1:1 up to full compression, as well as a Brick Wall Limiting mode for precise control of transients.
Adaptive Attack technology automatically adjusts the compressor response to the dynamics of the signal, preserving the original character of the recordings.
The 88C also features mono, dual and stereo chaining options, allowing for flexible processing in mixing or mastering. Its true bypass allows for instant comparison of the compressed signal with the original signal.
The three adjustable sidechain filters allow for fine-tuning the compression response, preventing over-compression of unwanted low frequencies.
