Presentation
The SPL Transient Designer 4 Mk2 is the latest generation of a processor that has become an absolute reference since its creation in 1998. It is based on Differential Envelope Technology (DET), a unique approach that allows transients to be processed with no dependence on signal level and no threshold, unlike traditional compressors or expanders. With just two parameters - Attack and Sustain - it is possible to accentuate or attenuate the impact of a signal, lengthen a resonance or shorten a sound tail, in a perfectly musical way.
This Mk2 version incorporates four analogue channels in a 19″ 1U rack format, with the option of stereo linking of channels 1-2 and 3-4. Each channel has a hard bypass relay, guaranteeing total signal security, even in the event of a power cut. Transient Designer 4 Mk2 is an essential tool for processing drums, percussion, guitars, pianos, rhythm buses or advanced creative effects.
