The AMS Neve 1073LB Mono is a discrete Class A transistor microphone preamp in 500 Series format that delivers the sought-after Neve 1073 sound. Handcrafted in England, the 1073LB delivers the typical sound of vintage Class A preamps, the mic and line inputs are transformer balanced and groundless, to deliver exceptional sound quality. It is ideal for use on guitars, drums, vocals, strings and acoustic guitars.

The original Neve 1073 audio preamp has been conquering the greatest recording studios since the 1970s for its sonic character of a unique quality, whatever the source.
It returns today, under the name 1073LB to integrate into your Lunchbox or API 500 rack, still manufactured in Great Britain to the specifications of the Neve 1073 preamplifier.
Featuring carefully recreated transformer-balanced input and output transformers, an integrated bypass switch, an insert with external audio processing design allowing the signal to be processed by adjacent Neve modules in the same Lunchbox power supply, the 1073LB bathes your ears in the vintage sound that made Neve famous.
In addition to the great features of the original Neve 1073, the 1073LB also benefits from some technological improvements such as switchable microphone input impedance, signal presence LED and intelligent protected switching on the Jack/XLR input connector to avoid accidentally frying a line level device with the 48V power supply.
