Norman B18 Parlour Cherry Burst GT Q-Discrete The Norman B18 Parlour Cherry Burst GT Q-Discrete, nicknamed ‘Cherry Bomb’, combines character and compactness in a parlour-sized body. Its glossy solid Sitka spruce top, tortoiseshell pickguard and Q-Discrete system make it an instantly recognisable stage presence.

The Norman B18 Parlour Cherry Burst GT Q-Discrete has a nickname that suits it perfectly: ‘Cherry Bomb’. Behind this explosive name lies a Parlour body shape – a slender silhouette inherited from the parlour guitars of yesteryear, designed for players who love to feel close to their instrument.

The gloss finish (Gloss Top) on the solid Sitka spruce top reflects light like a polished stone, whilst the famous tortoiseshell pickguard adds to the vintage look of this small guitar with a strong character. The sides and back, crafted from wild Canadian cherry, enclose this compact body with a warm grain, familiar from the forests of North America.

The 630.94 mm scale length, shorter than average, reduces string tension and allows the fingers to glide effortlessly along the 19 frets. The Silver Leaf maple neck moulds to the palm, guided by a rosewood fingerboard with a silky grain and a 406.4 mm radius that rounds out every chord. The 43.69 mm Graphtech nut allows each string to vibrate unhindered, whilst the 16:1 gear ratio tuners keep the tuning stable, set after set.

When it comes to connectivity, the EPM Q-Discrete pickup, paired with the Q-Discrete preamp, reproduces the natural tone of the top the moment you plug in, with volume and tone controls conveniently located within easy reach on the top. Supplied with a set of A6 LT strings (.012 to .053), this Parlor comes with a choice of a Deluxe TRIC Parlor case or a compact gig bag, both available as optional extras.
