The Paiste PST 5 Essential Set forms a simple and effective duo for building a balanced kit.
The 14" hi-hat offers a clean chick that remains easy to control underfoot. Its opening retains a clear brilliance without becoming intrusive. The 18" crash/ride provides a broad attack with a rapid rise, useful for both accents and driving play. Its volume remains manageable even when pushed a little harder.
The 2 cymbals use CuSn8 bronze, also known as 2002 bronze, a material known for its projection and luminous timbre. Since the 2014 redesign, the PST 5s have become lighter and more flexible, which is reflected in a more pleasant playing feel. This reduction in thickness adds a discreet warmth to the sound while retaining a bright base.
