The Paiste PST 5 Universal Medium Set consists of 3 cymbals designed for simple, straightforward playing in a variety of contexts.
The 14" hi-hat delivers a precise sound that's easy to hear in a band, with a clean 'chick' as soon as you close your feet slightly. The 16" crash reacts quickly and provides a clean rise without saturating the space. Its projection remains clean, which helps to save space for the other instruments. The 20" ride delivers a well-defined ping that remains legible in a busy mix. Its bell is easy to work with, making intensity changes more natural.
The whole unit is made from CuSn8 bronze, a material also known as 2002 bronze and known for its brilliant, centred tones. This base gives a clear sound that is equally suited to small scenes and louder situations.
The cymbals react well to all volumes, making them handy for switching between a soft ambience and a louder passage. So it's a reliable set for building a clean groove in any style!
