The Patina PS-7 LPB R Lake Placid Blue guitar features an HSS configuration designed to allow the player to switch easily from a bright tone to a more powerful sound without changing guitars. The paulownia body is finished in a nitrocellulose ‘relic’ finish that already displays signs of wear and micro-cracks typical of a well-played instrument. The Lake Placid Blue colour stands out vividly on stage whilst retaining that well-worn vintage look.

The roasted maple neck, with a Modern C profile and satin finish, feels natural in the hand. The 13.75" radius and 22 rounded-edge stainless steel jumbo frets provide consistent comfort for both chords and solos. The 42 mm bone nut and 25.5" scale length provide a familiar feel, especially if you’re used to classic-style electric guitars. The luminescent side markers remain visible when the lights go down.

The hand-wound custom Alnico V pickups in an HSS configuration cover a wide sonic range without requiring complicated adjustments. The humbucker bridge pickup delivers plenty of distortion whilst retaining detail in riffs. The two single-coil pickups at the centre and neck positions maintain a crisp attack for clean or slightly crunchy tones. The single volume control and two tone controls allow you to quickly adjust the response without spending ages searching for the right setting.

The 1:19 ratio self-locking tuners stabilise bends and vibrato returns, even during more vigorous playing. The double-action truss rod helps to adjust the neck to suit the tension of the D’Addario EXL110 strings, which come fitted as standard in .010-.046 gauge. The vibrato remains smooth whilst maintaining consistent tuning stability for both live and studio use.
