Pearl Marc Quinones Signature timpani in 14" and 15" sizes are designed for percussionists looking for an instrument that's responsive, accurate and fun to play, both on stage and in rehearsal.
The polished steel drums feature two inverted bracings, designed to strengthen the structure while creating a wide playing area for the cascara, with a clean, sharp projection.
They are ideally suited to Latin music and energetic rhythmic styles, with a slamming sound that easily stands out in a band.
The 5-rod design leaves more space on the surface of the barrel, making it easier to place the instrument and vary the nuances. The top link system simplifies tuning and skin changes, without the risk of losing screws and washers in the process.
The set comes complete with Remo Clear Ambassador heads, a PT-900W double-base tilt stand, a Clave Block PBL-30 and a key. The bell support includes a damping ring designed to prevent parasitic resonance in the stand, for cleaner, more controlled playing.

Marc Quiñones is an American percussionist renowned for his mastery of Latin and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, as well as his ability to fuse these styles with funk, jazz and rock. Born in New York, he began playing music at an early age, and quickly made a name for himself for his technique and musicality.
He is best known for having played percussion with The Allman Brothers Band for several years, bringing unique rhythmic textures to their songs.
Marc has also collaborated with many internationally renowned artists, developing a precise and powerful style. His reputation as a committed and inventive performer has led him to design signature timpani with Pearl that reflect his technical needs and musical vision.
